  • This is an exciting, high energy, interactive, fun-filled form of entertainment that will take their event to a whole new level!

    It is extremely user friendly (you basically run the event with a push of a button). We provide simple instructions showing how easy this event is to produce. Unlike most game shows where contestants play from a limited number of consoles, with this EVERYONE OF ALL AGES PLAYS AT THE SAME TIME.

    NO CROWD IS TOO LARGE OR TOO SMALL!

    The Derby ‘N’ Dance Party as a very high profit margin as it requires only a few staff to run the event.

  • Absolutely not! In addition to the excitement and high energy, the simplicity greatly adds to the appeal for you, the presenter, and the attendees. There is no need for you to use horse racing terminology or verbiage. That is all in the videos.

  • The only things you must have are a laptop and large screen TV or large screen and projector.

    We will produce the races for you on PowerPoint or mp4 send them to you electronically.

    Once the client books the event with you, you would then place your order for the PowerPoint or mp4.

  • It is important to keep in mind that the only things you really need to get started are a large screen TV or screen/projector and laptop (with PowerPoint installed if you prefer PowerPoint to an mp4 format).

    If you choose to add a colorful backdrop, which holds the large screen TV, attractive wagering windows, odds board, fencing, hay bales, etc., these all add to the festive atmosphere. Most importantly, from the client and attendees' prospective it adds perceived value. We can provide you with these at our cost-plus shipping from Richmond, VA. Most Affiliates, however, find that it is more economically feasible AND FUN to design, and in many cases, make their own or have these Items made locally.

  • We provide you with Point of Sale materials such as the promotional video that will have your name, logo, and contact information on the video. We also provide you with a color flyer with your contact information on it (in a PDF form for you to either email directly to your clients or have printed for handouts).

    Through our social media pages and direct email, we will give you marketing ideas that we have used putting on “Horse Race” parties with overwhelming success for over 25 years.

    We will share methods that we and other Affiliates use to penetrate markets for corporate events, association meetings, fundraisers, birthday parties, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, reunions and lead generation. We will be passing on new information on equipment as well as tips on running the event.

    We will be encouraging other Affiliates to send us ideas and experiences as well.

    Most importantly, whenever you have a question, we are only a quick phone call or email away.

  • Ask your client to send you:

    1. What they want to name the ______ Downs. (e.g “Company Downs”, “Smith Reunion Downs” etc.).

    2. Five names they would like to serve as the names of each race. (e.g. “Department Run”, “Group Sprint”, “City Stakes”, “Fundraiser Derby” etc.)

    3. Thirty names of people that they know will be at the event that they would like to serve as “horse (stable) owners”.

    4. If they are not custom naming the horses, they will need too go to our Horse Names Menu and choose one group of names per race. Be sure to note the “Code” from each group chosen.

    5. If they would like to name the horses, they will need to supply thirty more names to serve as horse names.

    You will need all of these before ordering from us.

    Please keep all names to a maximum of 22 total letters, spaces and characters.

    We also produce a custom race program template, and we can put a company logo, photograph, etc. on the front of the race program if your client would like.

    Our announcer will then produce a voiceover of the races using the names that your client provided.

  • THERE ARE ACTUALLY TWO!

    1. The easiest way, and the way we do a lot of ours, is to have the guests go to one of the wagering windows and select one horse in each race. If their horse wins, they simply go back to the window and receive a prize drawing ticket. This is so simple. However, the simplicity in no way detracts from the excitement and high energy of the event! We strongly recommend that you use this system until you have a few events under your belt and really feel comfortable using the videos. You will quickly learn that putting on a Derby 'N' Dance party is as much fun for you as it is for the attendees!

    2. We can provide you with play money (Horse Bucks), a dry erase odds board (with your or your company's name on it) and odds calculation sheets. The odds are calculated based on a pari-mutuel, meaning that the return each horse pays is determined by the total amount bet on that horse. Since this system is a little more sophisticated, you can charge the client more.

  • We have shipped hundreds of these all over the United States and Canada and we have never had one, not one, adverse comment about the animation.

    We believe the biggest reason is that guests at events get so caught up in the excitement because of their names being on the video as the “horse owners” and they are so preoccupied screaming and hollering for their horses they do not really give much thought to the fact that it is animation. The animated, whimsical approach is much more conducive to a festive, fun-filled party atmosphere.

    Again, they love hearing their names and seeing their names on the video, while clutching their race programs and wildly cheering for their favorite horses!

  • If the client would like to also name the horses then you will need to include the Custom Horse Names Add-On in your order.

    When the client names just the “horse (stable) owners” they can select names from our menu and then match the “horse (stable) owners” up with the individual horses. When the client also names the horses our production is more labor intensive, which is why there is an additional charge.
